I'm so glad I bought a replacement filter back then. I noticed my hard water was coming back and the pressure was relieving. After removing the old filter I noticed that it was much heavier than the new filter and then I noticed that mold was growing around the top of the filter where the water enters the filter. Please check your filters and replace them regularly. I went 7 months before changing mine. It was on our master bathroom shower which my wife and I use regularly. The shower filter works great, helps a lot with my hard water, especially for such a small investment.
