I average 18 holes three or four times a week and needed a sock that would hold my foot, breathe and prevent excessive chafing that leads to blisters. There are socks advertised as callus resistant socks that cost up to $20 a pair. Although I own a pair of these "high quality" Merino wool socks (I won't name the brand), I haven't noticed any real difference between these CelerSport socks and the high performance wool socks. When I first wore wool socks to walk when I was 18, I had to take my shoes off on the 6th fairway and play the remaining 12 holes barefoot because of blisters on my heels. Sure, I wore a new pair of spikes, but still not very promising. I have worn these CelerSport socks on the field at least 8 times so far and can report that they do exactly what they say they do and at a fraction of the price. Discount on the price of some of the better known brands. I like the heel tab and the general fit of the socks. I'm a size 12.5, it fits true to size and doesn't fade. So far they make a solid impression and are absolutely worth their money. I will update and use them more over the summer.
