Bought these to replace some static legs on a very heavy footrest. I've tried twice and they fit perfectly. The stems were only slightly shorter. I thought that wouldn't be a problem, right? Who knew they wouldn't screw all the way in for some reason? I had to take 2 vises to hold on to each side of the reel and spin as hard as I could. BUT, I got them within 1/8 inch, good enough. Since then, they seem to have mastered the rest of the way. My stool now rolls easily! very satisfied. I don't use the lock function
