I am building cabinets for our kitchen and have been looking at panel bit sets. I've read other reviews of this and other Yonico cutters and thought I made a good purchase and saved some money. They looked solid when I received them, the carbide blades are actually thicker than some of my other bits. When I used them they cut cleanly and didn't seem to chip the oak. I then tried the fit and was then very disappointed. I tried a few pieces of scrap to adjust the height and check alignment, but I couldn't get the rails to fit the posts snugly. The gaps were totally unacceptable. A truck could pass them. Maybe the bits I got weren't sharpened properly because when I hold them so the cutting edges are together they look fine, but the waves aren't parallel. If you keep the waves parallel you can see why the pieces have such poor clearances. I would accept these bits if they were close together, but they are about 1/8 inch apart. It became increasingly obvious that I needed something better. I ended up going out and buying a set of CMT rails and posts. ($99) They fit so well and snugly together. When I stick these bits together, the waves appear to be perfectly parallel. I used a Yonico panel bit. It cut smoothly and seemed to hold the edge well. I'll just stick with Sommerfeld, CMT, or some other big brand because I screwed up about $30 worth of oak lumber to learn this lesson. And $50 for another brand. panel a little, good. there is not much here. For reference, I'm using a Hitachi M12V router installed under a Bosch table.
