Works as expected. I haven't explored all the remote's capabilities - I probably never will - I just wanted something that could play DVDs with ease. My cable box, TV, and VCR remotes also have a lot of buttons that I've never used. However, for those who use all these little buttons, the documentation for them seems very complete. I had a little trouble getting it to work. I plugged the RCA cables that came with the box into the appropriate sockets on the back of the TV, but I didn't get any sound or picture. OK, what happened. After reading the installation instructions a little more carefully, I found that my TV had to be in an AUX setting. Previous TVs I've had required a small switch on the back to switch to the AUX setting. There is no switch on the back. There is no such switch on the front panel. Eventually I found out that there is a second set of RCA plugs to the right of the kit. Aha! When I connected the cables to this set of connectors and not the ones on the back, I had sound and picture. I am very happy with this purchase and the price certainly couldn't be better.
