Unfortunately that was a disaster for me. I first had the Simply Peppermint version and soon after I started noticing irritation on the sides of my mouth where toothpaste usually collects as I brush my teeth until I rinse it off - no longer than 15-20 seconds. Pretty soon after using this brand of toothpaste this problem started to appear. I've never experienced that with other natural toothpastes, so there's something about this brand that brings it up. Red, irritated, scaly and dry skin around my mouth that cracks when I try to brush my teeth or even eat. I liked trying this brand because I really like the healing properties of neem, one of the ingredients, but I can't use it anymore as it has something that causes skin irritation. I even tried switching to the pomegranate version because I really like the idea of this toothpaste, but I don't actually respond well to it. Both new tubes go in the trash. I'm sad. Let's go back to Tom's of Maine.
