I'm a graduate student doing computational work in my research. I bought this duck to help me debug my code and keep me entertained during the lonely hours I spend at the office. Because let's face it, I'll never get a decent job to find a spouse and have kids to take care of the rubber ducky. This duck's main function was to sit on my desk and talk to it, which it did well. Whenever I notice my code isn't working as I expected after throwing a few cryptic errors, I sit down and go through each line of code. I feel like it has solid rubber construction that will withstand any logical errors in the code. That's the friendly face I can count on against those dreaded segfaults. I was also pleasantly surprised by his impact on people who, on the rare occasion, stumble across my office in search of someone else. It's a *great* conversation starter with strangers. It really adds a warm, human touch to my introverted personality. I think that's because of his bright colors (it's yellow) and friendly smile. It's also a balanced companion. I think there is some kind of metal weight in there at the bottom to keep the duck grounded and grounded. This should come in handy when putting the duck in the water if you like it. While I can't vouch for their buoyancy or buoyancy (unverified), I honestly couldn't ask for a better rubber ducky to share this wonderful experience that is grad school. Thank you shilling!
