I have 3 large cats - all over 16lbs and only one fat - so wish it was a little bigger overall although they don't seem to notice. It took a few days and a pinch of catnip, but now they've all benefited. Despite the fact that they are large cats, the largest ones like to sleep in a closet. They all used the top level. I like that the fabric parts can be removed for washing. Because cats are so big, I decided not to take anything very big so it wouldn't be too heavy. It seems very stable. Also, the bottleneck in this scratching post isn't so narrow that one of my cats could get trapped - I read this in a review of another one I considered. It was easy to put together and if I got a part wrong it was easy to take apart to fix. The cats are happy; I'm happy.
