I'm older but still have hair and just a bit of gray hair - usually 3 to 5 inches long and still quite thick. It is drier than before and still has some waviness and volume after daily shampooing and towel drying (try not to use a hair dryer). I've been using Bumble & Bumble Styling Creme for about 20 years, but have tried others every now and then. B&B has a very light "hold" on my hair, is easy to apply in a small amount and is easy to rinse out. I have had several JB products and have been happy (but they are expensive). After reading some of the reviews I decided to give it a try as I had recently tossed the (lightweight) Crew product and a few other products from my barber/stylist - they were all too heavy, thick and dry to use achieve an unflattering finish all day. This JB product is a bit heavier than B&B but I like it a lot, especially after a haircut and for the first 2-3 weeks - when it gets to 4-5 weeks B&B works better I think. Almost no fragrance, long shelf life, reasonable price, matte finish, slight shine initially. I will buy what I wanted and I will keep the B&B in reserve.
