I use this for my daughter's night light. She tends to wake up with night terrors. I thought it would help her to put up pictures of the people she loves. When she wakes up from nightmares, the first thing she sees is happy times. I didn't read carefully before buying and found on arrival that it is battery operated. Requires 4 AA batteries that last a while. I attached the remote control and wall with double sided velcro to keep it from getting lost. You can also just press the button on the battery. Has 8 light settings. From rave mode to a soothing fade or even continuous operation. I had a separate clip as they look like a clothespin, but if you know how to put the clothespin back together it's no problem. Too bad it's not a plugin. instead of battery.
