Review on Sabrent 4-Port USB 3.0 Hub with LED Power Switches, 2ft Cable, Slim & Portable, for Mac & PC (HB-UM43) by Ronald Reese

I have revised this review: Sabrent made a great effort to quickly replace the original hub with a new one. The new one works great and the switches allow me to switch between USB inputs and still use the hub without power. USB 3.0 speed is fantastic. I have to thank Sabrent for their outstanding customer service on this matter. Flaws in the operation of the product, but this is how they are solved for the customer. Thank you Sabrent. My old rating is below. ************************************************** **** * ***************************** Caused a conflict in the Windows blue screen for some reason. I connected it to a USB 3.0 extension cable as the cable on this hub is short. Now to the problem. The computer was fine before this hub was connected. After connecting at the end of the day, 2 blue screens appeared. This is a critical Windows error message that requires a reboot. The next day he did the same thing early. I unplugged the hub and after 3 days everything was fine. Obviously something in the hub is causing the system issue and the blue screen. Now it has nothing to do with him. On the plus side, I was able to back up 8 gigabytes of files to my external hard drive very quickly using my own PS. So it really works and the switches would be nice as I could leave the drive plugged in and just unplug it until needed. Screen. Well with that being said I will simply ship this hub in a computer parts storage box as I don't want to risk damaging my computer. I'll experiment with this when I have time. Also, I use USB 2.0 hubs on my two computers with no problems. It's just very strange. It just didn't work for me.
