"Quick Link" is not typical for 11-speed. It has 2 pins on one side and a link with an oval hole where you put the pins on the other side. It's insanely difficult if not impossible if you follow Shimano's instructions. I will try to spare you the biggest disappointment. Insert the 2-pin link into the chain (as shown). On the other side of the chain, slide the oval link onto a pin (use the side marked "narrow", the writing on the link should be on the outside of the chain as instructed), then slide it with the Side down so that the pin is at the other end of the oval link. Now for the difficult part, move the other side of the link to the other pin (as instructed). It won't fit yet. Place your thumb on the pin already in the hole, cover the pin and up to half an oval. On the other side of the chain, place your index finger behind the pin that isn't already in the oval link. Now try to "bend" the chain/link by pulling your index finger towards the pin. You'll see the oval link slide further down the pin to the point where it goes in (hard to do!), once it goes in, then "bend" the link/chain into the other direction and it will be locked. It's difficult, but doable and it won't bend the chain or link (don't use tools to do this). I hope this saves you the crazy frustration I was having until I figured it out.
