Okay wings might be an exaggeration as this phone holder has a fairly generic design but I was very surprised and pleased to find that the side pads that hold the phone are slightly curved inwards. I have encountered issues with other phone holders where the pads wear out over time and the mechanism has to work harder and harder to exert enough force on the phone to hold it in place. On this phone, the side grips are slightly curved inwards to give the phone extra grip without any extra effort. What a great design! I also appreciate the telescoping arm that allows you to position the phone closer to the driver and farther from the window, as well as the inclusion of the dash and air vent mounts shown in the photo, although I chose not to use them as is I prefer to mount directly on the windshield. If I have one gripe, it's that the unlock button is a bit small, one-sided and obscured by my phone, but that's easy to get used to and doesn't affect the overall effectiveness of the phone holder.
