Ideal for wet cleaning or removing spills.

I really like this kind of self rotating flat mop. I have a few including this one and they all seem pretty similar. If you only use the mop for dusting, you can purchase a cheaper non-spin mop. The benefit of a ring flat mop is that you can use it for light damp mopping or to clean up spills. For wet cleaning, you'll need a bucket that you can stick a flat mop in, or plan to make frequent trips to the sink. This mop is also great for cleaning up after heavy rains here in Florida where rain often seeps through storm blinds. I can mop up an area, squeeze a wet mop into a bucket, move to another area and deal with the whole mess much quicker than any other method. The handle of this special mop consists of steel profiles with nylon thread connections. Not as good as a solid stick but I suspect this design helps them keep shipping costs down so we end up with a cheaper mop. The spin works well and is easy to use. The mop head on this particular model is better than my other flat mop - slightly more absorbent and with cleaning strips. Both of my mops of this type have ridged mops so I can't say if it's any better than the velcro system. For dry wipe flat mops a neat velcro seems to be standard but perhaps the tabs are needed for wringer mops to keep the head from moving. The nozzle for a mop washes well. Bottom Line: For those who like to have the right cleaning tools, this type of auto-spin flat mop is a great addition to their toolbox.
