Review on 🩰 DoGeek Girls' Satin Pointe Shoes: Professional Ballet Dance Toe Shoes with Ribbon (Choose One Size Larger) by Angela Ryg

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Order a full size if you wear pads, good for performance/image, good value for money!

It's great! Bought for a photo shoot, very nice. The sock is very stiff as you can see in my blurry photo but with a little love it breaks in like any other pointe shoe. The satin on the outside is very nice and smooth. If you really want to dance in it, you have to release the grip. The box is quite wide but with the finger pads it fits me perfectly! The included toe pads are great, although I prefer silicone. They cover your toes well, but the metatarsals can be uncomfortable if you have long toes like me. I ordered a full size: I wear 8 outdoor shoes, so I ordered 9 (43 EU). I was drowning with no toe pads, but the built in elastics provide decent support if you prefer a traditional shoe and for some reason can't substitute it. Haven't sewn on my elastics yet but preferred them to others for the price due to the included toe pads, elastic and tape. Definitely not comparable to work shoes but great if you are on a budget, you only need them once or twice and you know what you are doing. I don't know if I would recommend these (or any pointe shoes) to anyone who is not trained OR as training shoes. I've seen quite a few people asking if they're appropriate for Halloween or something; If you've never worn pointe shoes, buy soft slippers instead, or try not to climb on your toes. I've definitely seen a lot. I may update them in a few months to comment on their durability when using them as training shoes after filming.

Pros
  • Enjoyable
Cons
  • Mostly good, but...
