Perfect as long as it doesn't fail within 24 hours

Use a Mac and try streaming over HDMI - there are several options. I wanted to get away from the Elgato series as it's only recognized by their own software and their software (Mac version) isn't very versatile. So now I'm on my third brand. I had high hopes for this model as the audio and video worked right out of the box. The image was a bit dark, but OBS allows you to adjust gamma, contrast, etc. So I was able to balance that out a bit. The image was a bit washed out, but I also work with refurbished retro gear, so I'll try to be a little forgiving. This seemed like the perfect way to get HDMI pass-through and also connect directly to OBS and give me all the settings. I needed. Video spilled/captured Tuesday night - great. I played some new games the next day to check my next scheduled stream and it just stopped showing videos. Black screen. No sound. No video. But he admitted he was turned on. After spending all day fixing their hardware, which I did, I went back to the elgato hardware - it worked. In other reviews I saw that people had the same problem. I don't know how many of them fail within the first 24-72 hours. But it seemed to be a common complaint for reviewers. I'm sending it back.
