I contacted the company with a question about the mineral content of the mineral filter that goes into the ionizer. The "sales manager" who responded wrote that "alkaline water literally means water with added or concentrated minerals. Or, no matter where you source or produce ionized water, you've got a ton of magnesium, calcium, zinc, etc. as that raises the pH. I would not recommend a water ionizer. Maybe take a closer look at the hydrogen generator.β It's clear that he (Mason, at least with an MBA) doesn't understand ionizers, since they raise the pH by electrolyzing water with the addition of a minimal amount of minerals. In addition, adding hydrogen to water lowers the pH (pH is the ratio of H to OH, not the absolute amount of H). I answered him to direct my questions to a technician who understands the science behind ionizers but obviously doesn't. He also doesn't seem to want to make any sales for the company!
