Easy peasy! I love this thing. I've had a gerry rigged cover for several years. It did cover most of the outside unit. My unit does have the metal casing around it. Googling, I discovered it's not a great idea to cover the entire outside unit. Air flow, you know. Best to keep leaves, dirt and snow off the top. What a great, simple idea. Anyone can install these. I liked the design so well I also bought one for my folks! I've found water standing on mine a couple times after a rain, so I know it's doing its job. I only rated 4 stars on durability, because I've only had it about a month. It does appear well made, however I can see the little bungee cords wearing out after a couple-three years. But how hard would that be to simply replace those cords?
