I didn't get this privacy film - I got it because there is a geometric pattern/pattern on the glass of our front door that I don't like - I was hoping this window film would mask that a bit and soften the look a bit. It worked perfectly and I am very happy with the pattern and look of this window film - much nicer than the old geometric pattern on my front door glass and a lot cheaper than buying new front doors! The window film pattern is a bit like etched glass. I followed the instructions to apply the window film. Easy to assemble and holds up well. The instructions say: - clean the window - spray with water (spray) - remove the protective film from the window film (this protective film only keeps you clean - it does not stick) - cut the window film approx. 1 cm larger than the windows - attach the window film to a wet window - Use a squeegee or something flat to squeeze out air and water bubbles from under the window film - Use a utility knife and ruler to cut the window film along the edge of the window. Window. I already had all these tools on hand so I followed these instructions and it wasn't hard at all. I am very happy that I got a brand new look of glass front doors for only $8.99.
