Not compatible with TRRS
I bought this to use with an IEM kit in a desktop headphone amp that requires a 1/4" jack. For this express purpose, they work well. Tight fit at both ends ensures a secure connection. The profile is rather low and doesn't stretch the base too much. Unfortunately, this adapter is not compatible with TRRS. This means that you cannot use headphones when the built-in microphone is connected. Something is grounded in the adapter and not allowing access to the correct rings. So now I'm looking for a true universal adapter. TL; DR: Sounds great, but it's not TRRS compatible.
