I have a late 2007 black Macbook 2.16GHz and it couldn't connect to the internet. took it to the apple store for them to check, they did something with the network keys for a day but then it stopped working. They told me if it keeps reinstalling my OS and if that doesn't work it will be my network card. They quoted me $150 just to get the job done. I did some research and found that Atheros made airport maps for Macbooks for my model with a simple web search. Apple doesn't do much with what goes into their computers, but they always put stickers on them that say Apple ID and call them theirs. i opened my macbook, took out the airport card and put the model number in amazon and it came up. It costs about $10 and works on my Macbook, so I saved myself $140 by making it myself. Buy it folks it saves you money the PS install was so easy check out ifix.com they make it very easy.
