I live in an apartment and have wallpapered with it. I didn't want to damage the walls, and one of the sides of this band can move, so it worked great. I've only had the mural for a few days but so far so good and the wall is intact. I had to re-iron the seams along one of the edge panels, but I'd rather do that than lose my job on the permanent wallpaper paste. In general, this is a great option for sticking temporary wallpaper or murals. UPDATE Won't stand the test of time on its own, but if you keep pushing against the wall it will last a couple of days before curling up. So I added strong magnets and screws to the murals. Also, after removing the tape, it left marks on the walls. However, it was still technically removable and didn't strip paint or anything, so I still consider it an achievement.
