I had a problem: a very noisy sewer riser (and even with a turn) in an apartment on the 1st floor of a five-story building. Replacing the pipe with a silent Politologist and pasting it with automotive bitumen insulation helped with impact noise, but from the sound of the murmur of a "mountain stream" I used this mat in one thickness on a straight section and two on bends. Now the toilet is quiet and calm, well, except for those moments when the neighbors wash off the gravel. Next I plan to make noise ceilings in the apartment. The photo is a work in progress.
