My laptop's audio jack was damaged and I had a spare USB-C port (actually with Thunderbolt support) so this seemed like a good fix. I like the fact that the USB-C connector is fairly secure and doesn't move easily, but it can still be flipped. When I plugged in this adapter, Windows 10 recognized it immediately and I heard the "You have connected something" sound coming from the headphones I already had connected to this adapter. So everything worked right away, without any configuration, which I really appreciate. "Plug and Play" is actually possible! I haven't tried the audio-in/mic jack, so I can't comment on that.
