Review on SONY ICF-CD837 AM/FM Stereo Clock Radio with CD Player (No Longer Manufactured) by Andrew Lyons

This product would be excellent if it weren't for two BIG flaws.1. Radio reception is horrible, barely picking up stations, works fine on several of my other radios. Thus, this device is more like a CD player than a radio.2. When I turn on the radio or CD, there is an audible background hum. I don't know if it's because this device is defective or something. Tried troubleshooting (tried other locations, outlets, let it burn a bit) but no luck. Technical data: 94 Usability: 93 Performance: 10 Total: 19 Conclusion: Even if this device doesn't hum, the radio reception quality is not good enough to make you want to keep this device. It only pulls on really strong stations with no noise. Otherwise the reception is simply too bad.
