Bought so as not to have to buy another salt and pepper set for a long time. When I received them I found that they are NOT all metal but plastic with a metal coating (probably stainless steel). Two years after purchase, they turn green where the salt comes into contact with the metal. I didn't want (and don't want) a salt shaker that turns green from the salt. I'll be running around the dishwasher looking for the best set. If you are looking for a long term shaker I would suggest looking elsewhere.
