When I attempted a DIY repair, I discovered a 4-channel wire that was folded in knots and soldered to hell. I now see how the contacts are stacked on top of one another, making for a very "skillful" assembly. The pluses: Headphones with a nice sound, a strong bass response, a high volume without fatigue or discomfort. Here are the negatives: As expected from headphones with such tiny wires, the left earphone soon stopped working, and soon after that, the headphones began making phone calls and adjusting the volume on their own.
