Wax from the orthodontist is annoying. This stuff is way better! The pre-cut pieces make it easier to apply, stick better (dry the braces first), the mint flavor is great, especially at night, and the vitamin E and aloe heal sore spots while you're wearing them. I've had adult ceramic/metal braces for seven weeks and have tried a dozen packs of them (I've been told it's getting better)! I often leave it on while drinking coffee and sometimes while eating. My sore spots chafe the most when eating, so it's worth the many pieces of wax that I accidentally swallowed with no side effects. I will give these to all new braces in my life!
