use them for camping DIY projects - storage bags, hammock snakeskin etc - and they work very well in several projects done to date. Good hole size - better than many other undersized cord locks. The hole allowed me to thread 2 strands of shock cord through (what I use is listed as 1/8" but it's actually slightly larger, not quite 3/16"), no problem. The cord locks bite well to prevent slipping, but when you press the button the cords slide very smoothly and open - without snagging on the plastic tabs, notches, etc. in the hole. I bought several packs of cord locks from several local retailers. for a lot more than $$ and wasn't happy with them. They have a larger opening, are easier to push and slide, and hold just as well. Very happy with it.
