Lovely watch but arrived damaged

This lovely little mid-century modern watch I was looking for. However, it arrived with a half-inch tear in the clear acrylic from the 3 o'clock position to the far right post. I decided to keep it because it was for my 98 year old mother who has a much prettier bedside clock that is too small to read. This text is easy to read, and the crackling, while annoying, doesn't detract from its primary function - being readable from her bed.
