Review on πŸ’» Logitech MK200 Media Combo: Full-Size Keyboard with High-Definition Optical Mouse by Ryan Bennett

Great quality for the price! WORKS ON APPLE/MAC!

I'm an old-school Mac fanatic, but I avoid Apple peripherals (external hard drives, keyboards, Wi-Fi, etc.) whenever possible. Not just because they're often insanely overpriced, but because when Apple pushes beyond its core competencies, the quality drops. Especially keyboards! These puppies are as beautiful as can be, but they're more fragile than D. Trump's ego. One day a drop of sweat ran down my forehead and landed on the keyboard. It shorted out, sirens blared, and the ghost of Steve Jobs crawled through the screen and started digging in my pockets for $200. Either way, this keyboard is great. The buttons feel light, are responsive, and do what they say. I type fast, this keyboard doesn't slow me down. As a writer, I prefer keyboards/mice that can be plugged in so I don't lose momentum forcing myself to fumble for batteries in the middle of a hot spell. Haven't tried the mouse yet, I plan to keep it as a spare. This keyboard isn't fancy, but it's cheap, works well, and serves its purpose. I also have a Logitech K120 and have been using it on another Mac for years with no problems. The K120 is even cheaper, but doesn't have any multimedia buttons on the top (volume up, down, etc.). It's a bit annoying, so this time I went with the K200. FOR APPLE USERS: Yes, the MK200 will suit you. even the volume buttons. When you plug it in for the first time, a message will appear on the screen letting you know your computer needs help to recognize it. All you have to do is press the keys you want them to press and then you can use it. Fast and easy! If you want the modifier keys to work the same way on the MK200 as they did on your old keyboard, you need to swap the Command and Option keys. To do this, proceed as follows: 1. Open the system settings2. Click on "Keyboard"3. Click on "modifier keys"4. Change (see attached screenshot): ---- Option key to Command ---- Command key to Option After that all your keyboard shortcuts will work just like on an Apple keyboard. Hope that helps! UPDATE: Today is August 12th. , 2020. Almost 3 years since I bought this keyboard. I came back to this site to buy another one for the diff computer. Since I've been here I thought I should go ahead and update my review. Original keyboard? I *still* use it!
