Review on πŸ”Š Flowmaster Super 44 Series Muffler, 2.5 Inch Inlet and Outlet by Robert Lee

WARNING! loud aggressive noise

I really like the muffler. I knew this to be one of the loudest Flowmasters out there but I wasn't expecting it so the buyer should be careful if they don't want it haha. My car just got a new downpipe and a new cat. installed and then I bought this aggressive muffler to make it sound good, but I toned it down a bit because the stock muffler was lazy. I even started the car with no muffler, just turbo and cat to see how quiet the noise was, which I didn't think was too bad for a straight pipe car. After adding a muffler, the noise level in the lower tones increased significantly, making the car very noisy at idle and a little quieter at cruising speed. I didn't expect it to be much louder with the "silencer" (I mean its name) than without the silencer. I'll probably replace it with a quieter Flowmaster series muffler in the future, although I like the aggressive sound it makes, but its low notes are too loud and deafening for a family/commuter car. This would only apply to a small displacement engine that doesn't get enough exhaust through the system even though I hooked it up to a standard line. Sounds great like Flowmasters, just not right for this application.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • There are problems
