I was given these items to increase blood flow to my legs after foot surgery and they have helped a lot. I have continued to use them as part of my return to training and have found that I can now do a lot more with less fatigue than without them and also recover from a workout faster. The item is made of a very high quality material that is smooth enough to slide and conform easily but not so smooth that it slides everywhere. One day they stop. Also nice is that they don't pull hair on their legs or itch like others have had in the past. They are also much easier to remove than other devices I have used and are easily removed from the feet without undue strain or increasing damage to the healing foot. The only thing that is unusual and well planned about them is that they are not just a sewn tube. There's a separate sewn-in sail-shaped panel of a different material that helps provide consistent support throughout. In addition, all seams are doubled for structural strength. The only downside is that they get a bit warm. I'm warm-blooded enough anyway, so I don't need warmth. When my wife used them she found it very desirable as her extremities tend to be quite cold. Use this information for the value it has to you. Highly recommended and I would buy them again in a heartbeat.
