Review on HB-UMLS Sabrent USB 2.0 Hub with 4 Ports and LED Power Switches for Each Port by Darius Glatzel

I was very pleased with this USB extender/splitter. My plan was to use it to charge multiple devices from a single USB. I connected my phone and tablet and was very disappointed. The tablet shows that the charger is connected, but there's a red X over the battery icon, indicating it's not actually charging. I tested this cable plugged directly into the original USB (which this new 4 port charger was plugged into) and it works fine. My phone gave me a message that it was "charging slowly" and that I should check if it was properly connected. I checked that all connections were ok and took a shower. When I came back my battery was REDUCED by 2%! I then tested this cable in the same way as the other cable and indeed it works great. Luckily it only cost $8 because I already threw away the packaging and I'm not sure what it will cost. time and effort for the return. Unfortunately, this device does not work as intended for me. :(
