Should have listened to the previous reviews I have read on this product Had to cut and sand the plastic handle around the key slot and cut the plastic strap under the handle to fit it in a somewhat normal position LOOKS GREAT OFF but unfortunately doesn't do what it's supposed to do to prevent the rear door from opening when closed. All you have to do is pull the handle a little harder and the tailgate will open. Unfortunately the plastic will bend and create play, the door will open when locked. draft is wrong. Would love to return the product but I have already made a radius notch on the plastic handle unfortunately I will only leave the product after the notch, leave it open or locked it doesn't matter much and throw away the key and reduce my losses Hopefully a visible notch will deter the Key off thieves as this is the only lock available. L-shaped lock on the inside of the railing that I can only access when the top door is open and reach inside. The only thing that seems to make this product totally reliable is the metal handle which is designed to match the all metal pop and lock product. or integrate into the handle, or simply set up the product so that it can simply prevent the tailgate from opening when it is locked. The installation time was about 30 minutes. you need this! Basically tantamount to just having a home security sign on the lawn, no actual home security.
