We purchased this product to transport our very small puppy while we were traveling with him. He weighed about 5 lbs, and the size worked well for a very small dog. The shape, however, is awkward. Depending on whether you choose to place it in the car horizontally or vertically, the pup has either little head room, or little leg room to move around. But the real problem is that, while it is supposed to work in a car, it does not tether easily to the seat belt. After about three uses, one of the straps that you slip the seatbelt through ripped. The design and construction could be better.
