A few years ago I threw away all my candlesticks and centerpieces because I was tired of the mess they inevitably make. They always dripped on the table of the middle part. You have a nice view but cleaning was a chore. I still have an old piece of Christmas decoration my mom gave me. Most often it is displayed with candlesticks, but no more. They are battery operated and do not drip wax. They have a shimmering flameless effect that is very realistic. In the dim light, you wouldn't have guessed they weren't real. The stick itself is made of wax and has droplets on it. Each takes two AAA batteries and can be accessed with the remote control or by pressing down on it should you ever lose it. If you do, there's a backup remote too. I have a lot of these tiny remotes now, so I write the name of the item on the remote so I can find it easily. It really helps
