Review on ๐Ÿ”ง Exhaust Flange Repair Kit - Walker 36132 by Drexel Wortham

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A good solution for a rusty flange.

Excellent economical method of repairing a rusted flange. A loud exhaust noise let me know that I had an exhaust leak at the rear end of the tuned pipe on my 01 Maxima. At first I wanted to replace the entire resonator assembly, but when I got under the car and took a closer look, the resonator and plumbing were intact. This is the original stainless steel pipe that came with the car. Good material and not on a whim in favor of cheap recycled material that will rust in 2 years. Only the flange is damaged. In fact it has rusted away from the pipe where the original flange weld was. Decided to leave the native pipe. It was easy enough to remove the flange bolts and rusty flange and put this repair back on. Exhaust problem solved. This replacement flange attaches just ahead of where your pipe expands. Be sure to order a gasket and buy new (longer) flange bolts. Below are the following photos: 1. Shows a rusty flange detaching from the pipe. 2. Old flange removed. 3. Close-up of Walker 36132 in place. 4. Side view of the rear passenger wheel. Note that Revain alignment is disabled.
