This SSD has proven itself proven to be the cause of many problems and days of wasted time. Although it failed when an HP tech replaced the motherboard on my Z4 workstation. I don't blame the device, I think it was the fault of the technicians. So I don't put it on the product. However, there are some issues with this device that you should be aware of. This is NOT a genuine HP product. This may be an OEM that has the right to use the HP trademark on its label. If not, then I don't know how it can be sold. When you call HP support you will be informed.2. It is manufactured and serviced by Multipointe3. They covered the warranty and it will be replaced.4. In my case, this part was not compatible with the USB-C port on the front of the Premium. When the SSD is installed, it halts the system and incorrectly shows that the USB-C port firmware has not been updated. The HP tech and I never considered an SSD to be a problem based on the label. That was until I replaced my MB, CPU and front panel and we were still witnessing the error we blamed on the SSD drive. As with any PC hardware, certain hardware combinations can cause problems, but of course this hasn't been tested with my particular setup. Buyer Warning.
