This review is for the G7 7500 laptop. Dell support informed me that this docking station will charge my G7 laptop. This will NOT charge the G7 and I suspect it will not charge a G series laptop. I suspect this limitation is related to the graphics card power requirements (I have an RTX 2070 MQ) and could be an issue with any laptop that is gaming -Graphic card, not only for Dell. At every boot when this dock is connected to my laptop I get the message "Your port is not Accepting Power" which is a bit annoying. I couldn't get G-Sync to work from the dock with my Asus VG27AQ via the Displayport or HDMI on the dock (or HDMI on a laptop for that matter). Since electricity was out of the question, I opted for the CalDigit TS3 Plus. I was able to get G-Sync working with a Caldigit dock through the display port. The rest of the WD19TB seemed to work fine. I think if you had a Latitude laptop (which supports TB performance) it would work just fine. Just pay attention to what Dell tells you about what your computer can and can't support.
