The capacity is 16 ounces to the brim, not 17.
I kept one star for this rating because capacity is very important. 17 oz would have been better for me and other reviewers but the cups are so tasty I have to overlook that. They are incredibly light and elegant. The flat bottom allows my small plate to warm up the coffee when it gets cold. Overall very satisfied - manufacturer please correct the description.
