So far I'm generally opposed to writing a negative review about a defective product, mainly because shit happens and the manufacturer mostly has no control over some things, such as: B. the delivery quality of the product, etc., etc. However, this deserves attention and certainly a low score, if only to inform the manufacturer that a major problem needs to be fixed. First of all, as soon as you open the packaging, you will realize that the build quality of the product is fantastic (or so it seems at first glance). Can't speak for other colors but the white is beautiful and suits my setup very well, the manual that comes with it has more than enough information and is perfectly clear. It's all great and it's what you would expect considering you're spending $120-$130. The main problem is the included cable. Spring. it's a piece of junk. It uses a retro Gen 1 USB interface that hasn't been used since perhaps the mid to late '90s when people in purple tracksuits used the same cable to connect their 'radical' new clamshell phones. This interface is considered one of the worst cables of all time simply because of how it works and how fragile it is. I plugged in my new Yeti and tested it on my desk to make sure everything was fine. . I think I unplugged it and plugged it into the boom I bought for the Yeti and then tried plugging it back in. I noticed a little resistance when trying to reconnect the cable to the Yeti and it hooked it up. At this point I understood exactly the same thing as every engineer and consumer jointly stated in the late 90's when it happened that the cable broke after being unplugged. The worst thing about these cables is that they are made up of 4 VERY small pins that are so elusive that they risk breaking even if you accidentally look at the cable the wrong way. And just as I feared, the pins have come loose and are now stuck inside the Yeti. This effectively makes this a very expensive paperweight. When you buy this exquisite product, PLEASE PLEASE, FOR YOUR AUNT SUE'S LOVE, be careful connecting or disconnecting, be more than careful! Once you plug it in, never try to remove it or you risk getting into my situation. i.e. stuck with a headset mic while streaming and had your entire fucking audience listening to a muffled, muddy voice.
