Review on ๐ŸŽง Lypertek SoundFree S20 - True Wireless In-Ear Headphones with QuickConnect, Wireless Charging, Ambient Sound, IPX5, 8+40 Hour Playtime, White by Cardell Haynes

Revainrating 1 out of 5

SOMEWHERE managed to be worse than the infamous Pixel Buds.

Pros: VERY good case, headphones are very easy to take off and VERY easy to put in and stay in place very securely. The case uses USB-C for charging. The foam tips are very comfortable in the ears Cons: Better known than anything else Battery life is SIGNIFICANTLY less than advertised. They lasted about 8 hours on the first day instead of the advertised 10 hours. Place them in the case, then immediately take them out one at a time to see where they were in terms of charge, as the left earbud reported a 3% charge a few seconds before they suddenly went off and on. The left earbud reported the same 3%, but the right earbud was still charged at 45%. Both earbuds were in a fully charged case overnight prior to first use and both should be fully charged. On my second day of use, I got 6 hours from them on a full charge, which is just over half of the battery life they claim. Several times throughout the day, the right earbud exploded at full volume for a reason. This also happened after removing it, turning off the power and taking it out to reconnect. Since then, this has happened several times a day. Several times a day, the headphones seem to "fight" about "who comes first", i.e. which one appears as a pair in the device list. Always accompanied by a loud noise and an ear quickly switching between the left and right channels until they decide what will be the "main" earphone. play a static or rapidly repeating tone and then turn off the power, which forces them to place them in the case for a few seconds and then take them out to re-pair. Sometimes one of the headphones refuses to pair. Sound quality can be somehow worse than Pixel headphones. Using the controls multiple times does not work despite the "confirmation beep" sound. Press the button once to pause, you will hear a beep, the audio will still happily continue etc. I am 100% confident that all 4 and 5 star reviews are from bots and/or paid reviews from people that have never actually been USED at the product. Not only were they significantly inferior to the Pixel Buds in almost every way (the ONLY positive was the charging case), they were also inferior to the $30 set I bought to replace.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • There are problems
