Lots of Balloons in Party Supplies

I surprised my roommate by filling her room with balloons. 8 hours (active balloon time; total time around 22 hours including sleeping, shopping and cupcake baking), 400 balloons (wish mine had more purple, could have had less pink). Only 2/3 of the package. I got used to it because I didn't have enough time. In a relatively small room, they rose a little over 5 feet. I wouldn't recommend inflating and hand-tying over 400 balloons, but I went for it. Tips: Take frequent breaks, lots of water, stretch. , to breathe. I've found that you can only move very quickly and/or for so long at a time. Hygienic lipstick is a must (and it makes my lips hurt for a day). Find something to tie off the balloons so you don't hurt your fingers (I used a mini clip), but you'll still need a moisturizer/lotion. Cordon off areas so there's less room to fill and also to keep them from spilling out the door (I've used blankets, chairs, and cling wrap taped). Use big balloons like these, you need fewer and they fly faster. Eventually you get used to the powder and the smell, but it builds up on clothes (it washes well). Only 3 turned up, plus a few broken ones, but overall good. into our other roommates' rooms and over a dozen emerged - possibly snagged by something on the floor (no rubbing because we could get through them in our room). A week later, they're mostly still inflated, but pop occasionally (once a day) at random times (keeps us on our toes!), but only in the living room, not the bedrooms? Overall good thickness and price. They are not necessarily difficult to inflate and if I had to fill a room again I would choose them. I can't comment on the use of helium as I haven't tried it yet.
