Overview of the Tenergy 16 bay charger. MY NEW FAVORITE CHARGER WITH HIGH VOLUME. First off, I've probably bought just about every decent charger over the years and this is my new favorite. I also have a 12 bay version from a few years ago (still on sale) and this version was too picky as it was too sensitive to very low voltage/dead batteries not being detected (requiring a minimum charge setting). old simple "not "smart" charger that doesn't analyze the minimum voltage). NOT that... it's almost perfect compared to many others that offer bulk charge bays like this. For example I've had over 60 brand new AA and AAA batteries that had been in their original packaging for several years which I had forgotten, in some misplaced box that was certainly badly used by now and decided I had better open them up and charge them up them up with this new charger. All batteries except 1 have been recognized and charged. NOTE. It has a "REFRESH" option to discharge and then recharge (capacity and durability optimization), many high volume chargers DO NOT have this feature. This Charger is great if you have a lot of batteries and only need to charge them every few months so they don't drain too much, or if you have fewer batteries and d charge them all at once. Rather than having to replace them every few hours like typical 4-bay chargers. I have many chargers from different manufacturers and many seem to stop charging too soon without fully charging or don't have a discharge/charge function. . I also like the 4 bay LaCrosse and PowerEx chargers which offer a lot of control over the charging process and are great for a small number of problem batteries that need more attention to recover. But with only 4 bays, it's not practical if you have a lot of devices that need to be charged. They are best suited for intensive care. But in terms of bulk loading - this is the best I've come across. If you're looking for a bulk charger, don't buy one without a refresh or discharge/recharge option. This is the best high performance charger in its class.
