I try to ride the trails when the weather is cold, although I usually wear a headband and hat, not a helmet. However, I decided that if I spilled something I might damage the trail. Everything was expensive by local standards and didn't fit at all as I couldn't wear a bike helmet over a fleece top. On a cold day (30 degrees Fahrenheit) with a fresh breeze blowing at times, it was perfect to see if that suited my needs. And I drove for several hours. The fleece part definitely keeps my neck warm so I don't get cold drafts on my neck when I lean over the steering wheel. The layer of fabric covering the head and ears doesn't really feel gross. This bothered me as my helmet has a lot of vents to keep me cool in hot weather. There is a fleece that needs to be pulled up to cover more of the face but it wasn't that cold so I folded it up. When you consider that winter trail maintenance isn't necessary and snow and rain make bad weather cycling difficult, this value-for-money piece really is ideal. No need to spend $45. Any complaint? Why did Revane choose to put it in a rather large box (the only piece) to send to me?
