I installed this on a car door that has a nasty habit of getting wind and scratching other cars. All you need is a good cutter and a soft mallet. After a few weeks, the stripes have stayed in place and look like a gap between the car doors and the body. The downside is that the metal inside will rust if exposed to it. If installed correctly, this is not a problem. There must be a way or a solution for the wide areas at the top of the door. So far, so good. I probably wouldn't use them on a new luxury car, mostly because they just look good up close. They are more geared towards people with teenagers or the elderly who may not be good at car door control and this prevents Carens from suing you if you scratch their car.
