This was EXACTLY the cover I needed for my Polaris 850. I used to use a tarp and string to cover my car. I needed a cap big and strong enough for my car and this cap fitted perfectly. The ribbed base helps keep the lid in place on windy days, and the vents prevent moisture build-up that can cause rust and corrosion. The only thing is this cover is advertised as one that can be placed on the car and secured with the straps provided. I buckled up the seat belts and walked down the street, but I just didn't like what I saw and stopped and took off the cover. The tarp might have survived the 3 hour ride very well, but from the way the tarp flapped in the wind (yes, the straps were properly fastened) I was just too nervous that the tarp would break.
