Jump rings cannot be used

My lovebird put her head in the jump ring. I was at home and saw her circling the cage by the neck. I quickly unhooked the toy from the cage and saw that it was stuck. I called quickly, my son came to my house and cut off the binding ring with some kind of knife. The jump ring was so tight that we couldn't open it at all. I will never buy a toy that uses these bindings again. If I wasn't home, she would have died.
