Used these tires, size 225/70 R16, on two first- and second-generation RAV 4 vehicles. Put 40,000 kilometers on them. in a variety of terrains, on and off-road. Superb grip no matter the weather conditions. I have never heard the ABS engage on the road, not even in an emergency. Even at 120 km/h, there is no hydroplaning. I've never seen better rubber; it pairs perfectly with the primer. No snags, ever! I'm not a fanatic, so I steered clear of the horrible swamps and bogs, but the field roads are in great shape (all-wheel drive with differential lock) after the autumn rains. Not MT at all, but excellent for AT! A cow on ice is not something you want to be this winter. It has excellent off-season slush riding qualities, excluding the presence of ice or rolled snow. The rims are 5 cm wider than what I usually use. and a lot more work. From 9 liters on yakohama to 13 liters on goodry was the increase in fuel usage. Transportation is expensive like this! I've been keeping them as a backup set for outings to the woods, fishing, etc. In the garage, using a rolling jack, I mounted all four tires and changed both pairs of shoes in about 15 minutes. In conclusion, rubber is great for big, heavy SUVs that tend to make a lot of noise and use a lot of gas. All the other tires inspired just good feelings.
